The calming effect of a well-designed fish pond

Have you ever noticed how calming and enjoyable a pond with a small water fall can be in the middle of a garden or a well laid out hardscape? A pond with a water fall and stocked with Gold Fish or Carp lends itself to a quiet spot in a yard offering a soothing and restful atmosphere. Water plants offer a very attractive and are beautiful in a unique water setting.

Bell’s Landscape & Design has created many such ponds, waterfalls, and oriental water vases with plants.

Here are some types and styles of water features based on creations by Bell’s that have graced Tallahassee Homes:

• A beautiful water hole (A water hole surrounded by exotic plants)

• A water vase line (Water flowing from vase to vase to vase)

• A Bamboo water flow system (Utilizing bamboo branches to serve as water spigots flowing into vases or ponds)

• A rain garden (A problem area that does not have proper drainage, built up to hold problem water after a rain that is planted with water loving plants)
